Toronto Announces Partners For First Two City-Led Development Sites

Toronto City Council has announced community partners for two of five City-owned sites designated for affordable housing development, aiming to create 65,000 new rent-controlled homes by 2030. The projects at 35 Bellevue Avenue and 11 Brock Avenue will provide 78 and 42 supportive homes, respectively, with completion expected by late 2025. Both developments will feature rent-geared-to-income models and access to support services. The City is seeking provincial funding to cover operating costs and ensure the stability of existing supportive housing services.
