Ontario is set to launch two new energy efficiency programs, including the Home Renovation Savings Program on January 28, which offers rebates of up to 30% for energy-efficient home improvements like insulation and solar panels. Homeowners could receive significant rebates, such as $8,900 for insulation. The residential Peak Perks program will also provide small businesses with credits for eligible smart thermostats. The government plans to invest about $900 million annually in energy efficiency over the next 12 years, aiming to reduce electricity demand and costs.
